We are a joyous, vibrant community living in a beautiful, renovated house overlooking the Panhandle Park. It has 18 bedrooms, 3 kitchens, 3 washer/dryer/dishwasher, 9 bathrooms, a tea room, and a workout room, divided among 3 flats.
As we go through a transition in our house, we aren't currently recruiting families, so we're renting out some of our rooms. All rooms are unfurnished, with an option to have us furnish it first at a cost TBD.
We're directly on the Golden Gate Panhandle. We're walking distance to multiple parks, large green spaces, restaurants and shops. It's city life, with bountiful access to nature.
We are a mix of people who are interested in living in community with children. We love working out together, building puzzles, going for walks, cooking together, movie nights, musical jams. We have a wide range of interests: plants, therapy, activism, dance, music, photography, board games, systems for governance, meditation, sports. We have a cat living on the bottom floor.
We value communication and conflict resolution skills, intentional process, tidiness, and being a welcome community. We'd expect you to contribute to maintaining a tidy home and treat housemates with kindness. Long-term residents are expected to participate in the community and bimonthly Sunday evening meetings and decision-making. Short-term residents are welcome to keep to yourself and treat the house as a place to mostly rest and sleep.
